For two months I lived in the heart of Tokyo—riding trains under endless lights, sneaking beneath busy freeways, and weaving through the city on a bicycle just to see what was next. I took a nine-hour overnight bus, spent a week in Osaka, and stood atop the tallest tower in the world. Between shrines tucked into city streets and the order of everyday life, Japan taught me to notice small beauty. I joined a mission team to share the love of Jesus through quiet acts of service and genuine connection. In a culture where faith is rarely spoken, light shines loudest through how you live.
